Glade Knight is the founder of Apple Hospitality REIT, Inc. and has served as Executive Chairman since May 2014. He previously served as Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Apple Hospitality REIT since its inception. Apple Hospitality REIT is a publicly traded real estate investment trust that owns one of the largest portfolios of upscale, rooms-focused hotels in the United States. With a history in the lodging industry of more than 25 years, Mr. Knight was also the founder of each of the former Apple REIT Companies and served as their Chairman and Chief Executive Officer from their inception until the companies were sold to a third party or merged with Apple Hospitality REIT.
